USCÂ Credit Union, a $570 million non-profit financial cooperative located steps from USCâs University Park campus, has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Coordinator. This position reports directly to the Credit Union Vice President of Human Resources and will assist with on-boarding, employee engagement, and recruitment efforts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serves as initial department contact in the research and resolution of payroll or personnel problems. Interfaces with personnel services â benefits, workersâ compensation, disability, employment, compensation, policies and procedures and employee relations, and the University Payroll Office to resolve problems and assist employees in obtaining information and services.
Provide information to staff on personnel and payroll policies and procedures. Responds to general inquiries and fields complex issues with the assistance of the Credit Union VP of HR.
Counsels managers and supervisors regarding employment policies, procedures and disciplinary actions.
Implements positive and engaging practices in Human Resources Management.
Provides oversight of daily HR operations and compliance with applicable regulations (e.g. employment standards, occupational health, privacy laws).
Maintains confidential personnel database for staff utilizing Workday ERM.
Assists with recruitment and hiring process â placing advertisements, screening candidates, and conducting new employee on-boarding and orientation.
Stays apprised of changes in staff and member expectations and adjusts applicable programs to meet evolution of needs and expectations.
Assists Credit Union VP of HR with day-to-day duties, including scheduling meetings, attending HR Partner and HRPA meetings, keeping up-to-date of USC HR policy.
Performs other duties as assigned, needed or appropriate.
Relevant experience in Human Resources and Leadership role.
Experience in the credit union or financial services industry preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Thorough knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to essential responsibilities.
Bachelorâs degree preferred.
Must pass a pre-employment background and credit check.
